UF Annual Design Symposium 2009 Friday, February 27- Sunday, March 1 Ligature is a weekend-long design symposium featuring talks by and workshops with highly recognized guest designers. This year we have Jim Datz, Stephanie Chen, Paul Sahre, and Joshua Davis attending! There will be speeches and workshops held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday by these extraordinary designers, so don't miss out! The exhibition and accompanying event are intended to motivate, inspire and create a greater design awareness throughout our community. Not only are students inspired by our guests unique perspectives, but everyone from graduate students to underclassmen get a chance to work together and energize our design program.

Open house at local web design company I wanted to let you know that 352 Media Group will be hosting a mixer/open house at our main office in Newberry, Florida on Tuesday, November 18th from 6:00p – 7:30p.
Those interested in applying for the internship program are invited to bring a friend (or several friends) and come to learn about the program, hear others' experiences in the program, and learn about the culture at 352 Media Group. There will be refreshments and hors d'oeuvres, tours of the office, and a brief information session about the Internship Program. Also, as a reminder to applicants, the deadline to apply for the Spring semester of the Internship Program is November 14. Please let me know if there are any questions. The Civic Media Center will be showing "The World of Buckminster Fuller. Buckminster Fuller was an architect, engineer, geometrician, philosopher, futurist, inventor of the famous geodesic dome, and one of the most brilliant thinkers of his time. He devoted his whole life to promoting his vision of a just, equitable, and ecologically sustainable future for humanity and planet earth. Told entirely in his own words, “The World of Buckminster Fuller” is an intimate, personal and inspiring message from Fuller to our fragile world.
