leeds design professor brian minards visits
Professor Minards visited UF to kick-off the exchange program with the University of Leeds. He lectured on branding and identity in and of the UK, and participated in critiques and reviews. His week-long visit culminated with his birthday celebration with faculty and grads in the studio.

brian minards (university of leeds) visits UF graphic design
We were particularly pleased to have Brian Minards, Professor of Design, at the University of Florida as part of the new Florida-Leeds Exchange Agreement. Brian was here from March 30–April 4th meeting with graphic design students and faculty, participating in critiques, and sharing insight on design in the UK and Europe as well as meeting with other interested parties at UF.

Deb McGuffey (BFA 2001) wins Emmy for her work at ESPN
ESPN’s SportsCenter won Outstanding Studio Show – Daily for 2004 at the Emmys in April 2005. Deb contributes to the show by doing the graphics for the 6pm show just about every day. Congratulations to her!
