UF graphic design program

i have been reviewing portfolios in an effort to hire over the last two weeks and out of seventy plus portfolios, not one came close to the work i see coming from the UF graphic design program. most of the portfolios would not get you in our program, much less a degree in graphic design.

i just wanted to say to keep up the good work, listen to maria, brian and connie… research, read, study, practice, practice, practice… typography, color, photography… know it all and own it all.

i’ve been receiving unformatted microsoft word resumes in times… with no portfolio. then when i request the portfolio, i wish i had not. then when communicating with the applicant they speak like children, they use few professional salutations… they have no tact.

i really miss being around people that know what they’re doing…
